You likely know something about Krav Maga because you found this website or have heard of it from a movie or other source. Of course, Imi Lichtenfeld, who served as the Chief Krav Maga Instructor for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) until 1968, created Krav Maga in 1948. Shortly thereafter he decided that he would bring Krav Maga to people, "so that we may walk in peace," Imi said. He started a club and association, The Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA) in Netanya Israel. He appointed his successor, Haim Gidon. The association members turned out in mass and voted in Grand Master Gidon as President. The IKMA has existed continuously since then and is a small and honest organization. The members have remained humble and not advertised or made big claims as many of the other Krav Maga systems have through the years. Haim Gidon is the only person authorized by Imi Lichtenfeld to promote black belts and make improvements or adaptations to the overall system. Others have made changes, adaptations and many make false claims. The IKMA continues to fight, train and continues on the path of truth.

We train in Israel under Krav Maga's Grand Master, Haim Gidon, in Imi's only club, on his only mat. We travel the world so that our students can get the best and most updated tactics because we teach people how to survive deadly encounters. Many of our students have had to use these tactics in combat, as police officers or to stop a threat as a law-abiding person.

We specialize in training women and conduct seminars and group / private lessons that fit into a busy women's schedule. We realize that women have different vulnerabilities, fears and need effective tactics to use against attackers who are often bigger and start the attack with no warning.

We have a long history of training military units, federal and local police agencies and protection professionals to improve the quality of their tactics through good Israeli Krav Maga and weapons training. We understand that protection professionals have different obstacles and are faced with danger on a daily basis. We provide simple solutions for conflict and give professionals many options for different threats.

We teach advanced gun deployment methods including Israeli Combat Shooting™, Combat Focus Shooting, tactical movement, scenario / vulnerability, training and certification of multiple weapon platforms including handgun, shotgun, rifle, carbine, sub-machinegun and Taser. We fuse our training together with military, law enforcement or personal options for tactical situations and vulnerabilities. We provide concealed handgun licensing for 39 US states. We offer instructor development programs for Israeli Combat Shooting™ and other programs. We have several schools and we travel nationally and internationally to deliver training.
